 This year we will have 4 different events on the river, spread over the two day event.
The program has been changed a little from the last few years to make both days full of action and fun for everyone!
In addition you can enter the 'RAFT OLYMPICS' back at our base after the event over a beer or two, or three and a BBQ!
CASH PRIZE!
There will be prizes which usually include CASH and goodies from the Ekstremsportveko event sponsors.
Slalom
The Slalom is technically the most challenging of the events. This will be held first so that we can then remove the gates from the river ready for all the other events.
The name of the game! Get from start to finish as fast as possible negotiating all the gates correctly on the way. This is easier said than done and there are penalty times added to the total for breaking the rules on the way.
Each team will have two runs but only the best one will count for the overall result.
Head to Head
Clash of the Titans! This is one of the most exciting types of competition in any sport! After earning a start position in the Slalom Event you will be put up against another team and sent down the course. Although this is supposed to be a NON-CONTACT sport, it will be a long hard battle to the finish on every round.
Following a standard race formula, the winning team of each race moves on to the next round until we end up with a winner!
Amazing Raft Race
This year we will bring river-skills into this endurance race! The focus will be on skill and speed as well as the problem solving and entertainment qualities of your team!
This event is open to non-serious competitors, but you must have been rafting on class 3/4 before and have a qualified guide to drive!
Details of this event will follow later, but we hope it will be able to consist of a MASS start, down river race with various testing and entertaining challenges on the way to the finish line!
Riverboarding
After working with your team, the riverboard give individuals a chance to prove themselves! The riverboard event is one of the most physically demanding events in the world as to go fast you will have to use every single muscle in your body and try to breath as you battle your way down the river after a land based mass start!
Simple race structure: Mass land-based start, first to TOUCH the finish banner wins!
